Sun, 11 Sep 2016 11:01:20 +0000 en NFL football betting and general sports betting Wed, 24 Feb 2016 07:50:40 +0000 Bradley Sports News The NFL’s undoubtedly the trendiest bet of all the key American sports that concludes with the super bowl, the trendiest sport of the year. In the section below we will talk about all NFL betting and general sports betting types that include money line, spread, parlays/teasers, totals, halftimes, & futures.

Spread Betting

Just as is the case with numerous high scoring games, NFL is governed by point spread. The spread, / line, is a form of side bet that balances the likelihood of winning a stake. The line presented for a specific team come with a – / + symbol to point out whether a side’s among the favorites or underdogs.

Money line

In NFL, a phrase that is more widespread than even before is “any given Sunday”. This is the reason behind the possibility of Money line bets being incredibly lucrative when placing a bet on any of the underdogs. This bet’s one that’s placed on one of the favorites or underdogs for winning straight up. The example below is from Week 10 of the 2010-11 NFL season

Other football betting and general sports betting types

Quarter & 1st Half Lines

A greater number of betting techniques are generally on the ultimate result of that contest. On the other hand, for sporting events like NFL & NBA, 1st quarter & 1st half lines are offered also. The use of Quarter spread is in determining who is going to win after the 1st quarter has come to an end. This goes for a 1st half line also with the difference being the wager terminates on the conclusion of the initial couple of quarters. Commonly the spread on the 1st half is going to be nearly 50% of the overall spread on a game.

Halftime Lines

In-game bets are also placed when the halftime is underway for determining the result of the 2nd half and they’re referred to as halftime/ 2nd half line. This line makes up the happenings of the 1st half for determining how the remainder of a game is going to be.

Totals / Over/Under

Placing bets on totals, / Over/Under is a rather simplistic concept. The person places the bet on whether overall points racked up in a game would be dropping over / underneath a pre- established set of numbers by sports book. Just as is with point spread, totals could be influenced by the opinion of the public.

Teasers/ Parlays

Wagers that are placed alongside spread, money line, & totals for increasing the payout in football betting and general sports betting are referred to as Parlays. A parlay can win only when each and every individual plays hit. The teaser is identical to parlay, barring that the better lays points in his/her favor for helping the bet arrive at fruition.

This sort of football betting and general sports betting is just as the name suggests with the person betting placing a bet on an incident that will transpire afterward. Like one can imagine, the trendiest futures wager in NFL is the side that would be the winner of Super bowl.

Hope the above information has proved to be helpful enough for you.

Stupendous victory Barcelona Wed, 24 Jun 2015 11:47:32 +0000 Bradley Sports News BERLIN – Around 45 minutes later of the shriek of concluding whistle, Luis Enrique literally disentangle himself from the team of Barcelona players who were busy in celebrating their 3-1 irrevocable triumph over Juventus in the presence of their supporters. He went along his young child to the center circle, where a flag was planted by Gerard Pique; the flag was marked with the red and yellow strips of Catalunya and blaugrana strips of Barcelona. He raised and flapped the flag above his head with the desire of acknowledging the admiration of those numerous supporters who were still in the stadium to witness and enjoy the glorious moment of celebration. This demeanor silently echoed the high and mighty spirit of the team that was inflicted among the supporters, manifesting in silent but strong voice that it was Barcelona Dominant. Three triumphs in Six years have made this team a glorious empire those enjoyed by 70s Bayern Munich, Ajax and Liverpood sides.

Andres Injesta, who attributed as the “man of the match” started showing his charisma in the final match of 2006, when Barcelona succeeded over Arsenal, when Xavi was an unutilized substitute. It was the final match of Xavi and he also celebrated his 4th Champions league with the team and friend Andres Iniesta. Each midfielders of this team are equally capable of gaining huge applause and appreciation. In 2008 when Frank Rijkaard’s side required rejuvenation, Pep Guardiola occupied the position. The role of Lionel Messi was significant in this match as well, but he did not perform anything that can be called commendably brilliant.

With this splendid triumph Barcelona put the last touches on the treble of the domestic league, Champions league and domestic cup. It is the 4th treble in the last seven years and the 2nd record of Barcelona. And the mentionable fact is that in the preceding 53 years there were just seven. Apart from the celebration for the bravura victory this night is also to acknowledge the impressive great endeavors of the Juventus to hinder the indisputably virtuoso team, no matter what is the cause for its proficiency. Barcelona has imprinted a template for the avant-grade game of today, and it has the trophies that mirror its ascendancy. Use the code bet365 bonus to get a real kick starter on your winnings.

Evidently, Juve put all of its effort; especially the opening goal deserves admiration. And their strong competence makes it a game, not merely a glorified show. When Suarez scored the second goal for Barcelona, the responses verbalized of relief. Undoubtedly Juve is the best side in Italy.

Five Teams Who Might Win Their First Champions League Tue, 18 Nov 2014 13:02:51 +0000 Bradley Sports News The Champions League in the most difficult competition in the world to win, in fact no team has ever won the competition twice in a row. In the last five years five different teams have won the competition, so lets look at five teams who could win their first ever Champions League.

1. Athletico Madrid - They made it to the final last year and were seconds away from winning until Sergio Ramos equalised in injury time. Athletico have shown the stomach for a fight, typified by their combative manager Diego Simeone and used last years disappointment to drive them to succeed this year. A spokesperson for M88 said “Athletico were very unlucky not to win the ECL last year, despite losing Diego Costa they have a great chance of success”.

2. PSG - There’s big money behind PSG and that usually means success is not far behind. The Qatari owners crave a Champions League win more than anything and you can bet they will be prioritising the ECL over Ligue One which they won last season. They have taken points off the mighty Barca and look comfortable mixing it with the continents top teams. You can check the latest football odds here.

3. Arsenal - If you don’t succeed at first try and try again. Arsene Wenger has certainly epitomised this motto, having qualified his Arsenal team for the knock-out stages 16 years in a row. Surely the law of averages means Arsenal will come out victorious soon, right?

4. Roma - They were drawn in the toughest group, pitched alongside Bayern, Man City and CSKA Moscow. They currently stand in second place in Group E with two left to play, if they can make it out of this group-of-death then they surely will feel they have a shot at glory come May.

5. Dortmund - Jurgen Kloopps team are struggling in their domestic league but gliding through the Champions League with ease. They have qualified for the knock out stages with two games remaining and have scored the most and conceded the least in the whole ECL! No team will fancy facing the Black & Yellows in that kind of form.

5 possible holding midfield targets for Arsenal Thu, 17 Jul 2014 15:22:28 +0000 Bradley Sports News One position Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger is desperate to upgrade this summer is the defensive midfield.

Currently with Mikel Arteta playing in that position, Arsenal have not had the strongest protection of their back four. This was exposed when they conceded 17 goals in their three away matches versus the top three last season – Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Wenger has already upgraded his attack with the signing of Alexis Sánchez from Barcelona. He is looking to bring Mathieu Debuchy in from Newcastle United to replace Bacary Sagna at right-back. The number one priority between now and the start of the season must be a holding midfielder.

Should Arsenal sign a top player in this position, expect their odds to drop a little from the 7.6 they currently are with Betfair.

Here are 5 holding midfielders Arsenal have been linked to this summer:

Sami Khedira (Real Madrid)
One minute Sami Khedira is going to Arsenal. The next he is not. Then Chelsea are going to hijack the deal. Wage demands from the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League winner are reportedly out of Arsenal’s current structure which could be prevent a deal from happening.

Real Madrid have just purchased Toni Kroos and Khedira has reportedly rejected a two-year contract offer with his current deal set to expire in 12 months. If true, you could expect Madrid to cash in on their player this summer. With Germany teammates Mesut Özil, Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker already at the Emirates Stadium, it may only be a matter of matching his wages to bring in a top class centre midfielder this summer.

Lars Bender (Bayer 04 Leverkusen)
The brother of Borussia Dortmund’s Sven Bender, Arsenal have been on the trail of Lars Bender for some time now. With Bayern Munich very unlikely to want to sign him and no one else likely to challenge the defending champions for the 2014-15 title, Arsenal may have a good chance of bringing the German international to the Emirates Stadium.

One of the several young talents in Germany at the moment, Bender is 25-years old and has 11 caps for the national team, as well as scoring four times for them. Gets stuck in and plays a simple passing game.

Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)
Arsène Wenger reportedly likes what he sees in Southampton’s holding midfielder who has had two good seasons in the Premier League. Morgan Schneiderlin was a late call-up to Didier Deschamps’ France World Cup squad this summer.

Southampton may be unwilling to sell after already cashing in on Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert this summer, as well as losing their manager to Tottenham Hotspur. The 24-year old has been excellent for winning back possession for the Saints during his two years in the Premier League and is good in the air too which is always handing for a player in front of the back four.

Nigel de Jong (AC Milan)
The former Manchester City holding midfielder has been linked with more than one Premier League club this summer. Now 29-years old, Nigel de Jong could still do a great job in the defensive midfield role for Arsène Wenger’s side.

The Dutch midfielder is strong in the tackle which means he could add a bit of steal to this Arsenal team that has been missing for the past couple of seasons. Experienced and a winner and AC Milan reportedly needing to sell players this summer makes de Jong an attractive purchase for Arsenal.

Alex Song (Barcelona)
There have been lots of ins and outs for Spanish giants Barcelona this summer, but one yet to leave is former Arsenal player Alex Song. He has been linked back to the Premier League though.

One would have to consider this a last ditch signing from Wenger though as Alex Song’s defensive abilities are questionable. Was a surprise signing by the Catalans when he left the Emirates Stadium but Wenger must believe he can find a better prospects out there.

Odds on Betting in English Premier League Still Risky Sat, 23 Nov 2013 14:09:14 +0000 Bradley Sports News started again and its first week back will feature numerous top-tier games amongst teams jostling to occupy the pinnacle of the league. For bettors it is a nice opportunity to get going once again – but you would do well to remember what happened right before the league went on break.

Right before the break, the biggest upset was undoubtedly Sunderland beating Manchester City. Granted, Manchester City’s away form has been pretty bad, but them being beaten by a team stuck in the relegation zone was still pretty unexpected.

That is just one of many an unpredictable turn of affairs in the season so far, and it has led to bookmakers reflecting as much in their betting odds. It is hard to find good odds nowadays, even for matches involving a clear favorite – and that has a lot to do with the fact that upsets have been hurting many bookmakers and bettors alike.

Of course there are some teams that are still fairly ’safe’ bets. Despite Arsenal’s loss to Manchester United right before the break, they’ve generally been looking positive and should continue to do so. Unfortunately, soon the team will face off against a resurgent Southampton that has surprised many with their recent spate of results and seems intent on defying all odds.

In short – even that won’t be a ’safe bet’ by any stretch of the term.

Needless to say as the season trickles on some of the top clubs will start to hit their stride and stabilize. Until that happens however, the odds on betting in the English Premier League will continue to be risky, but where there’s risk – there are rewards too!

Arsenal: Champion contenders? Wed, 25 Sep 2013 17:22:51 +0000 Bradley Sports News This year’s start to the new Premier League season has thrown up many questions. No team has exploded out the blocks; plenty have spluttered, but Arsenal, usually the king of slow starts sit happily at the top of the table. The Gunners have also unexpectedly found themselves among the favourites for the title this season with the sort of sportsbook. The question is: do they have the means to win the league?

The free-flowing attacking side formulated by boss Arsene Wenger, is going hell-for-leather with four consecutive league wins. The £42.5million signing of Galactico Mesut Ozil has sent fans into raptures, finally a big money signing after many years of financial shrewdness. The loss of Robin Van Persie really showed last year as they often looked short up-front, but Olivier Giroud has stepped up this season and is proving he is the man to replace the big boots left by the Dutchman. Injury plagued Aaron Ramsay meanwhile has been unplayable against this season, showing signs of the promise that persuaded Wenger to bring him to the club five years ago.

Arsenal are not without their problems though. Inconsistency has always been their Achilles heel, often losing games that they should be winning, such as their 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa on the opening day. Unlike teams such as Chelsea and United, Arsenal struggle to win when they are playing badly and this has led to the gulf between them and the top three.

Another predicament for the club is that Giroud is their only striker after they missed out on Luis Suarez in the summer. Possessing one striker is hugely problematic; if he were to get injured they’d be in all types of trouble. You can’t mount a title challenge without a goal-threat.

Ultimately, we will see whether Arsenal pose a threat come January. If they are still in the hunt for the title and have the funds to bolster their squad, bringing in a defender and striker, they have every chance of winning the title for the first time since 2004. Watch this space!

The was just a preview or a look through a small portal of what is to come this season starting Saturday, August 17th, 2013.

Championship: The Race for 2nd Place Wed, 13 Mar 2013 09:28:45 +0000 Bradley Sports News Liam is a guest writer who mainly concentrates his efforts on soccer. He runs his own website,, which takes a look at all sports from a bookmaking perspective.

While some people are suggesting that Championship leaders Cardiff are on something of a downward spiral after winning one of their last four, the fact that they still have two games in hand and a six point cushion from 3rd place suggests to me that they are pretty much certainties for promotion. The bigger question for me is just who is going to join them, with several teams all in the hunt for that elusive second automatic place.
Following on from the above, I’ll now take a look at the three sides that I think have the best chance of gaining automatic promotion by finishing in 2nd.

The team that are currently sat in 2nd place is Watford. Considering the fact that the Hornets were regarded as potential relegation candidates last season, the transformation is quite extraordinary although is mainly down to an Italian takeover. Under their new owners, they have been able to borrow a host of players from Italian outfit Udinese - with most of these setting the division alight. A lot of managers have questioned just how they have been able to borrow so many, with many bemused at the fact that all of their eleven loan signings can start in the same fixture due to the relaxed rules regarding international transfers.
Nevertheless, this shouldn’t really detract from their achievements. As it stands they have collected sixty six points from their thirty seven matches, although they did suffer a shock loss to Sheffield Wednesday in their last outing. Still, this appears to have been a mere blip and with Gianfranco Zola having so much talent at his disposal, we think it will be a huge surprise if the Hornets don’t manage to stay in the top two for the remainder of the season.

Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are the side next in the table, with the Eagles one point behind Watford in 3rd. The Selhurst Park outfit have been in and around the automatic playoff positions for much of the season, although it did seem to take Ian Holloway quite a while to adjust to his role after taking over from Dougie Freedman earlier in the season.
Just like the Hornets, Palace have fared very well over recent weeks although they too have suffered a defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. Barring that loss, they have been impressive with that being their only defeat in their last eight games. The most important statistic regarding Palace is their terrific home form though, with the club making Selhurst Park something of a fortress with their last defeat there being all the way back in August. Coincidently, that was the first game of the season - against Watford.
While the club have proved strong throughout, I’m just not sure they have the strength in depth that Watford possess. Their home form means they will always be circling the top positions, but I don’t think they will manage to break into the top two this time around and will have to settle for a playoff place.

Hull are the next side in the table, with the Tigers fixed on the same number of point as Palace with goal difference being the only issue separating the two. They are another side that has been around the top places for much of the campaign and just like Watford, they have also relied on wealthy owners to bankroll this promotion push.
Looking at the Hull squad on paper, it appears to be one of the strongest in the division with several big money signings complimenting it nicely. In Steve Bruce they have a manager who has seen everything at this level and while there may have been some raised eyebrows when he was appointed, he has at least masterminded a very positive campaign for the KC Stadium outfit.
The club may have lost 4-2 to Crystal Palace in their most recent match, but I still think they’ll finish above the Eagles by the end of the season due to their squad depth. That game happened to be their second in three where they have conceded four goals, which suggests they are on something of a downward slope. This is in contrast to Watford, who don’t seem to embark on such ruts of form. Taking this into account, my prediction for Hull is a 3rd place finish - sandwiched between Watford and Palace.

Battle Begins for 3rd and 4th Position at Champions League Thu, 28 Feb 2013 12:44:37 +0000 Bradley Sports News Finally the much-awaited football Champions League has started, triggering massive curiosity among fans throughout the world. The stage set for acquiring biggest title of championship has turned into an ugly football League, with all major teams putting up their sleeves and gearing up for strong fight.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have entered into the race to occupy third and fourth positions in the championship, for the moment. However, Chelsea is probably not in their best form this season, until now; and is lacking in consistency.

With Arsenal’s resurgence as a great performer on field and Tottenham’s natural spree, Chelsea has to put in their best foot forward to make their mark in this Elite stage set for football league.

In October, last year, Chelsea acquired top berth of the Premier League grabbing four points. However, their condition has changed drastically and they are lagging behind with nineteen points. Chelsea are just ahead of Arsenal, who are currently positioned at fifth place.

This would also prove to be a challenging phase for the fans of Chelsea. The team in Blue has to travel to Manchester United and Liverpool to put up a grand show. They should also prepare to face Everton and Tottenham at Stamford Bridge, in order to reap in the opportunities and extract momentum of the League. Their face-offs at Southampton and Fulham also appears to be the trickiest part of their lifeline in this League. However, given the record of accomplishment and quality, Chelsea should be able to turn these opportunities in their favor.

Juan Mata and Eden Hazard of Chelsea have potential to turn around the present phase of the team. However, some of their potent spearheads like Demba Ba and Fernando Torres are still out of their form.

Arsenal still has to face Manchester United after visiting Swansea and Tottenham. Their face-off with Everton, next month, on the grounds of Emirates would even chalk their future in the league. All eyes are on Wenger, Gervinho, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud.

On the other hand, Tottenham are also facing certain difficulties on their dream chase. They would be facing Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and Man City. Even off-home conditions would also come as a disadvantage for them. Their matches at Stoke and Swansea would prove to be their break points.

Gareth Bale is presently proving to be the golden boy of the team. In case he retains this form for the rest of the League, Tottenham would become a favorable team for this Football League. Addition of Jermain Defoe would certainly provide extra momentum to the team.

Jerry Jones will remain as the owner and the general manager for the Cowboys Sat, 12 Jan 2013 13:57:26 +0000 Bradley Sports News Jerry Jones the owner and the general manager of the team The Cowboys will not leave his designation for any means. He will not leave the post of the General Manager and at the same time he is not going to sell his team in near future. He has assured this in an interview recently.
He said, “The structure of our team is different. I am involved in all the important matters in the team. Therefore, I cannot avoid taking necessary decisions especially if the decision is about setting a team. It is always a debatable subject that which player will be in and who will be out, and I as a general manager and the owner of the teams have to make the final decision. It is quite sure, that I am not going to leave it.”
Well there is no doubt about the fact that, the past record of this man for his team is quite extra ordinary. He has already won Super Bowls for thrice. However, now the time has little changed and recently the performance of his team in NFL Football is not at all satisfactory.
Overall, there performance is 3-5 in this season which may cause a lot of worry for the team. Recently their performance in Super Bowls is also quite ordinary. They could only manage to win two games in playoff since their last appearance in 1995.
The performance was so poor that only five players could stay in the team in 2010 of the players who played with no deposit casino bonus. Their statistics is 123-124 after their successful year of 1997.
Some big deals have been done with Marco Rivera, the guard, Marion Barber , the running back, and Ken Hamlin, the safety, but that does not work positively for the team.
However, Jones has picked some of the other players who have performed well for the team like Morris Claiborne, Bruce Carter and Sean Lee. Therefore, it can be said, that in recent years Jerry Jones have provided a mixed performance as a general manager.
He said, “The way, we have taken decisions recently, has worked well for us. We are sure; it will work good in near future also for our team. We make small adjustments and those are quite necessary to do for the success of the team.”
Barry Switzer was the last coach, who was the winner of Super Bowls. However, he was fired from the team in 1997. Since then five coaches have been with the team. Only Wade Phillips could provide them two wins in the playoffs in NFL Football.
Jones said, “If the manager was any other person, I would have wanted to change him. However, the situation is not like that for us.”

The most electrifying player, Pavel Bure in for the Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Sat, 05 Jan 2013 09:22:33 +0000 Bradley Sports News This weekend Pavel Bure is attending the most awaited induction of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto along with Adam Oates, Joe Sakic and the former Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin.
The mild controversy that was raged came to a halt with the Vancouver Canucks agreeing to retire Bure’s jersey which he wore during the seven years of breathtaking play. Forcing a trade by holding out in 1988, Brue vowed of not returning to the city.
Bure’s former agent and Canucks GM Mike Gills began to discuss about the ceremony of jersey retirement, which many think is long pending.
“Team owner Francesco Aquilini has gone to inform Bure about the ceremony planned in Vancouver,” former Canuck Gino Odjick told.
Scoring over 50 goals for five times, The “Russian Rocket” though had a dampened career at the end due to knee injuries, but at his peak, led the team coached by Pat Quinn to the 1994 Stanley Cup final and mesmerized all by back-to-back 60-goal seasons.
“Among the many great players Canucks had, the most electrifying of them all in uniform was Pavel. The Canucks should ask Pavel to be there to show the minimum wisdom.”
Though, ending his career with .623 goals-per-game average, NHL hockey history’s fifth best, he was not at all comfortable in Vancouver and often got frightened by the fan attention and the press he received.
“I knew, making him comfortable would help us win and I tried to do the same. I introduced Mike Gills to him, helped him to reside,” former Canuck Geoff Courtnall told. “At first he also had some trouble with English and could not verbalize his thoughts.”
“Brue overcame the rough treatment in a game during the playoff run against Dallas in 1994. That was his thread of becoming the NFL hockey.”
Though some reviews criticized that shot; but others he needed to make that statement. Certainly the 1990s greatest goal-scorer next to Wayne Gretzky Brue is among the most electrifying players of that time.
A YouTube user uploaded video where, though goalless Brue showed the brilliance of skating and passing.
The Hockey News compared 1980s legend Mike Bossy with Bure where Bossy with four 50-goal and five 60-goal campaigns. Bure put back-to-back 60-goal and three with 50.
Bure, starting is career at 6, was selected for practice with Vladislav Tretiak and Wayne Gretzky at 11(1982) in a TV special. If you want to know how to bet on sports online click here for top sports bookies
